Funny Blogs

Once in a while, you just need a good laugh. I found a couple of funny blogs this morning that made my day:

The "Blog" of "Unnecessary" Quotations

Cake Wrecks

By the way, just 8 days before I have a baby (But who's counting, right?)!

Backpacking . . .

Lillian, Joey, and Allison are out backpacking with their dad this weekend. I think he's mighty brave, especially to bring a 4-year-old along! They left yesterday, so I've had a quieter day with just 3 kids to take care of. Allison was so thrilled to be going on "her trip" this time (her twin Sarah went along to California last month).

So, with all my gobs of time (yeah, right), I got another paper pack done:

Isn't it pretty?

Dinosaur Papers

I had so much fun creating the background for this page last week

that I had to finish up a paper pack with it today! This great set of backgrounds will be at Scrapbook-Elements on July 20th. Eventually, I may turn it into a whole kit, but I haven't had tons of time for designing lately (hmmm, I wonder why).

In Praise of DH ...

I have to give my DH credit. Not many men would be willing to have as many children as we do. Not many would be willing to be as hands-on and involved as he is. And I think it would take a rare man indeed who would voluntarily and excitedly plan and execute what he did last month. He took four of the kids, ages 9, 7, 6, and 4, on an 11-day vacation to California. They camped, hiked, saw the biggest trees in the world, saw the oldest trees in the world, went to Disneyland, and hung out at the beach. Among other things, DH prepared lots of meals, cleaned up throw-up, handled melt-downs, and was basically Super-Dad.

Me? I stayed home and wondered just what it is moms with two children DO all day. With just Allison & Eliza, the house stayed clean, I ran the dishwasher twice a week instead of twice a day, and I got caught up on several projects, chief among them our family scrapbooking! This was no small feat, as I had only completed the pages up until May of 2007. I'm now…

We have a date!

If this little girl doesn't come before then, I will be induced on 8/8/08. How cool is that for a birthday?
