How to enjoy a rainy morning

I'm pretty laid back as a mom. There are certain things I don't tolerate, such as fighting, hurting, or saying mean words. We also have a strict "food stays in the kitchen" policy. But otherwise, I let the kids do a lot of what they want to do. If they start doing something unusual, I ask myself, "Are they doing any lasting damage?" and "Are they having fun or learning something?" If the answer is no to the first, and yes to the second, then I let them proceed. I think childhood should be a time to get messy, make mistakes, and explore the world.
Crayola washable markers -- they really ARE washable!

I'm so glad I'm not the only mom who lets her kids draw on themselves! Crayola markers aren't quite as washable as I would like though. I can't even remember how many times I took Liz somewhere with leftover marks on her face from markers. That was her favorite thing to do, apply "war paint" to her face. It never hurt her, and we have some fun pictures and fun memories. :)

I LOVE it - they are very artistic, aren't they?!? :-)
Oh, and I adore Crayola Washable markers. I ONLY buy that kind and if the others are given to us as a gift, I donate them! Only, only, only washable markers are allowed!

You should send that pic into Crayola - you might get a contract - "They reeally ARE washable". Sounds like a slogan and it's funny. :-)
My twin girls love to color on each other with marker too. My boys like to give each other "tattoos." It can'y hurt so why not? :)
