Looking ahead to 2015

I'm not setting a lot of goals for this year,  but I do have a few.

1.  Weight. I'm hoping to very happily gain some weight this year.  I'm thinking about 25 lbs should be about right.  All for a good cause, of course.

I'm also hoping to lose that extra weight sometime after July 23rd, but I'll worry about that goal later in the year.

2.  Running and Exercise.  Along those lines, I'm thinking I'll be doing a bit fewer miles this year than last.  But I've done at least one half marathon every calendar year since 2011, and I'd hate to have this be the year that I miss, so I'm thinking of targeting a late fall race (baby's due in July).  Probably Snow Canyon on November 7th.  I'd also like to see how long I can keep running during the pregnancy, though I already feel like I'm slowing down.  I signed up for a 10K on March 7th, when I'll be 20 weeks.  So far, I've been able to keep up my 10K fitness since my last one in September, running 7 or 8 miles some Saturdays to stay in shape for it.  But it's getting cold and I'm losing my desire for longer runs.  Hopefully, this race will keep me motivated to run on days when I'd rather cut it short. I was able to run 3 miles into my 5th month during my pregnancy with #8 but because I got injured while training for my marathon during my last pregnancy, I quit running after 15 weeks.  So I'm excited to see what this pregnancy brings.  I'd like to keep up my 6-day-a-week exercise habit, even if I'm mostly just walking.

3.  Photography.  I've jumped into a 365 Days Project to motivate me to get my camera out every day.  Essentially, I'm committing to take a picture every single day this year.  I've gotten lazy about taking candids of my kids and our activities and I think this will help motivate me to watch for beautiful moments and beautiful things.  It's six days into the year and I haven't missed a day yet.  I've set my phone alarm to remind me not to forget a day, so wish me luck! My plan is have a regular One-a-Day post on Wordless Wednesday.  And I'm totally including photos I take of other people's kids and families, like this precious baby I got to capture yesterday:

And that's all the goals I'm setting for this year so far, other than to keep up with my regular good habits (daily prayer, scripture study, weekly dates, etc.).

What are your plans and goals for this year?  Anyone else excited for a new baby, mine or your own?
