All in a Day's Work (And Other Randomness for Nearly Wordless Wednesday)

I told a friend yesterday that I feel like all my time while the twins are in kindergarten is spent doing housework.
This is what I did today:
It took several hours. Other days this week have been employed with more fun work, namely shoveling snow off our way-too-big driveway. And to the neighbors who "tsk tsk" about a poor pregnant woman out shoveling, let me say (again) DH is more than willing to do it, but I really like being outside and working like that. I also like mowing the lawn. Is that really so hard to believe?
And in other random news, Allison really likes this hairstyle.
She calls it her "Care Bear ears" Last week, we hosted a dinner party for DH's work at our home. DH and a co-worker's husband spent hours slaving away making authentic, amazing Mexican cuisine. I cleaned the house and tried to keep it that way. Then I did nice, shiny, festive centerpieces:
Harmony got her first dose of playdough-playing this week.
Eliza enjoyed teaching her how to do it. It occupied her for at least thirty minutes.
And she didn't put a bit of it in her mouth.
It's nice when Harmony is occupied doing something contained at the table, because otherwise, she's off doing things like this:

Wow. That is a lot of laundry!! What I don't get is most of my family is gone and I still seem to have tons to do. Hopefully that won't happen to you.

The pictures were cute. Your children are beautiful.

It's nice to not be the only pregnant person that finds shoveling snow off the driveway to be a refreshing activity. :)

Hey Christina... our laundry loads of work...seem to be almost equivalent!!! I totally feel ya!!!

ANd I am one who likes to shovel, and mow the grass... and would do it while I was prego too.

So I totally understand.

That last picture of Harmony is the reason why my tupperware and kids' dishes are low to the ground and messy--I just let the kids organize them for me and accept that they love to be at my feet and better they be playing with tupperware than dragging pots and pans around the room (they've done that too and it's not quiet!)

Yeah, I loved shoveling the driveway too... for the first three days... the fourth was a bit much and the fifth was overkill, lol! I always liked mowing too. It's not weird.

I love all of the pictures of your kids & your sister's children too.

I'm catching up on reading some of the blogs, so I haven't always commented.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that takes pictures of my housework accomplishments--it's something that most of the family members don't truly appreciate :)

Do you get interrupted a lot whilst doing housework? I try to be strict with my time management but often seem to be doing eight things at the one time, and only finishing five. What are your time management strategies?
I have only just discovered your blog and find your sentiment refreshing and love your attitude towards motherhood and family.
